Tapi ada satu jalur kerusakan yang tidak dicegah oleh IP rating kabinet sama sekali: kelembaban yang terperangkap di dalam kabinet akibat kondensasi, yang perlahan mengorosi komponen elektronik di PCB modul LED dari dalam, meskipun kabinetnya sendiri tersegel sempurna dari luar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Di sinilah conformal coating berperan \u2014 proteksi di level komponen, bukan di level kabinet, yang jarang dibahas karena tidak muncul sebagai angka mencolok di spec sheet seperti IP65 atau IP66.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kenapa IP Rating Kabinet Tidak Cukup<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cmi-led.com\/id\/ip-rating-videotron-ip65-ip66\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IP rating yang sudah kita bahas sebelumnya<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> mengukur seberapa baik kabinet mencegah air dan debu masuk dari luar. Tapi videotron outdoor tetap mengalami fluktuasi suhu harian yang signifikan \u2014 panas terik siang hari, dingin malam hari \u2014 dan fluktuasi ini menciptakan kondensasi di dalam kabinet yang sudah tersegel rapat sekalipun. Uap air yang terkondensasi ini menempel langsung ke permukaan PCB, dan seiring waktu memicu korosi pada jalur tembaga dan titik solder komponen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ditambah lagi, area pesisir dengan kadar garam tinggi di udara mempercepat proses ini drastis \u2014 korosi akibat garam bekerja jauh lebih cepat dibanding kelembaban biasa, bahkan pada kabinet yang secara IP rating sudah sangat baik.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apa Itu Conformal Coating<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conformal coating adalah lapisan polimer tipis (biasanya 25\u2013250 mikron) yang disemprotkan atau dicelupkan langsung ke permukaan PCB, mengikuti kontur komponen elektronik di atasnya \u2014 karena itu disebut &#8220;conformal&#8221;, lapisannya menyesuaikan bentuk apa pun yang dilapisi. Fungsinya melindungi PCB dari kelembaban, debu halus, bahan kimia, dan fluktuasi suhu ekstrem secara langsung di titik yang paling rentan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ada beberapa jenis material yang umum dipakai, masing-masing dengan karakteristik berbeda:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Acrylic<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: paling umum digunakan karena biaya lebih ekonomis, mudah diaplikasikan, dan cukup mudah dilepas kembali untuk keperluan rework atau perbaikan komponen<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Silicone<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: tahan terhadap suhu ekstrem lebih baik dibanding acrylic, cocok untuk videotron outdoor dengan paparan panas tinggi<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Urethane<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: memberikan proteksi kimia dan abrasi paling kuat di antara ketiganya, tapi lebih sulit di-rework kalau ada komponen yang perlu diganti<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Metode aplikasinya bervariasi \u2014 dari penyemprotan manual untuk volume produksi kecil, hingga dip coating otomatis untuk produksi massal yang butuh konsistensi ketebalan lapisan di setiap unit.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kenapa Ini Sering Terlewat Saat Vendor Presentasi Spesifikasi<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conformal coating tidak muncul di spec sheet standar karena bukan bagian dari pengujian IP rating resmi \u2014 dua hal ini benar-benar terpisah secara standar pengujian. Akibatnya, banyak pembeli videotron tidak pernah menanyakan apakah PCB modulnya di-coating atau tidak, padahal inilah yang menentukan apakah videotron masih berfungsi normal di tahun ke-3 atau ke-4, terutama untuk instalasi outdoor di area pesisir atau dengan kelembaban tinggi sepanjang tahun.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Videotron dengan PCB yang tidak di-coating bisa terlihat baik-baik saja secara visual dalam 1-2 tahun pertama, lalu mulai menunjukkan gejala tidak stabil \u2014 modul mati sebagian, koneksi data tidak stabil, atau kerusakan yang sulit didiagnosis karena penyebabnya korosi mikroskopis di jalur PCB, bukan kerusakan komponen yang terlihat kasat mata.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yang Perlu Ditanyakan ke Vendor<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apakah PCB modul menggunakan conformal coating, dan jenis material apa yang dipakai<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Untuk instalasi di area pesisir atau kelembaban tinggi, tanyakan secara spesifik apakah ada lapisan proteksi tambahan dibanding spesifikasi standar pabrikan<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Minta dokumentasi atau foto PCB sebelum dan sesudah proses coating sebagai bukti proses ini benar-benar dilakukan, bukan sekadar klaim lisan<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Untuk proyek dengan masa garansi panjang, tanyakan apakah kegagalan akibat korosi PCB termasuk dalam cakupan garansi atau dikecualikan<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kesimpulan<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IP rating dan conformal coating menyasar dua jalur kerusakan yang berbeda \u2014 satu mencegah air dan debu masuk dari luar, satu lagi melindungi komponen di dalam dari kelembaban yang tetap bisa terbentuk meski kabinet tersegel sempurna.
